Alliance Française Albury-Wodonga’s curriculum is based upon the Common European Framework for Reference of Languages: Learning, Teaching and Assessment (CEFR) to determine the objectives/levels of language classes.
Beginners (A1)
For students with little or no previous French and/or can understand and use basic phrases and expressions
Elementary (A2)
For students who are completing Beginners class, who have some basic French skills and can handle simple interaction and everyday tasks
Intermediate (B1)
For students who have completed the Elementary class and/or can deal with most situations while traveling and express opinions in French
Independent (B2)
For those students who have completed Intermediate class and/or can understand complex text and interact in French fluently
Advanced (C1)
For those students who have completed Independent class and/or can use French effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes.
Conversation (B1-B2)
For students with Independent and Advanced French who wish to practise their communication skills
Traveller’s French (A1-A2)
For students with little or no previous French who wish obtain basic skills sufficient to be able to communicate simple ideas when travelling in a French speaking country.
